Since we had a short week last week and again this week, we didn't start a new Journey's lesson so no new focus wall for the week. Take a look below at more details from our fun week!
We worked on addition and used chips to help us count.
We also practiced our sight words by reading books, completing papers and coloring by sight word to make a picture.
We also worked on finding the missing sight word in sentences and writing them in.
We also worked on practicing syllables by counting how many syllables different words have.
Then we colored the words with 2 syllables red and the ones with 3 syllables purple.
For writing, we listened to the story One Dog Canoe and students wrote their own story inspired by it.
We also finally finished our 100 day book by writing about what we would do if we had $100.
Here are a few examples of their work.
Mrs. Phillip worked with the students on how to stop and think before acting.
In Literacy Lab, students worked hard on their iReady lessons.
Mrs. Ball worked with students on letter recognition, letter sounds, rhyming and word families.
Students worked with me on guided reading, rhyming, word families, and sight words.
Thanks for checking in this week.
Stop back again next week to see what other fun things we are up to!
Have a great week!
Mrs. Brittany Garrabrant
