We had another busy week here in Kindergarten! Take a look below for more details.
We reviewed the letters Rr-Uu as well as their sounds.
We learned the sight words: eat, soon, please, ride & white.
We started working on subtraction for our math lessons.
Since we finished reading our chapter book Stuart Little, we watched the movie! The second movie follows the story line a little bit better so we watched that one. The students really enjoyed it.
We practiced rhyming words too!
Students worked on our March workstations:
Matching number words to a set of objects and numeral & sight word Jenga
Addition problems to match the correct peanut to the elephant & putting puzzles together to make words
Addition puzzles & sounding out CVC words to figure out what the picture is
Letter blends puzzles (ch, sh, th, wh) & shamrock addition problems
CVC word puzzles & building CVC words
We also worked hard in Literacy Lab this week.
I was working with students on testing them for report cards so I forgot to get pictures!
I am working hard to finish assessing students in order to complete report cards for conferences. I look forward to sharing all of that with you all next week for conferences on 3/22 & 3/24.
Thanks for stopping by. Come back next week to see what we are up to next.
Have a great week!
Mrs. Brittany Garrabrant
