Fall Family Scavenger Hunt

On Saturday we had our Fall Family Scavenger hunt. It was a little chilly and windy but once we got back on the trail it wasn't bad! Thanks to all of our families who came out and to Mrs. Atkin's friends, we all had a great time! Take a look at some of the beautiful pictures from our time together!

Before we began our hike, we said hello to their working dog, Zipp. We also explored the pond and spent time saying hello to all of our friends from school. The kids were all thrilled to see each other!

We explained what trail we would be going on, the scavenger hunt paper and how to treat the different things we would find in nature. Each family got a clipboard and a pencil and each child got a magnifying glass to observe with. We then set off to the trail on our hike!

We went to the top of the observation tower and since it was so windy, it was really swaying in the wind! We counted the number of steps going to the top and there were 81!

Take a look below at some of the cool things we found! We found a lot of caterpillars, pretty colored leafs, nuts, and many more!

We stopped at an observation deck to check out the view from inside.
They enjoyed playing in the maze with their friends.

The kids also really enjoyed the butterfly bench and loved posing as a butterfly.
Thanks again for coming to our scavenger hunt! I had a great time and I hope you all did as well!!
