This week in Kindergarten was a short but fun and busy one! We continued on with our alphabet countdown with the letters S-V, students worked on our Journey's curriculum and in their Reader's Notebook. We also got ready for our Poetry Cafe and had a wonderful event.
Take a look below for more details on our exciting week!
We continued the fun with our Alphabet Countdown this week.
On Tuesday we celebrated the students who had summer birthdays with some snacks and by singing to them!
Wednesday students made Thank You Notes to different staff members in our school for helping us this year.
On Thursday, students wore red, white, and blue to celebrate our U.S.A day.
I forgot to get a picture until we were walking to the buses so the car riders weren't in it.
On Friday, we celebrated our Poetry Cafe by wearing something very fancy.
I forgot to get a picture of our focus wall for the week but we worked hard on our Journey's curriculum. Students worked in their Reader's Notebooks on sight words and reviewing the letters Q & Y.
The students made signs to hang up in order to help their families find our Poetry Cafe on Friday.
Thank you to everyone who came to support the students for our Poetry Cafe on Friday. We had a great turn out and everyone had a wonderful time! I hope you enjoyed the Poetry Cafe, Awards, and End of the Year Video. Here is the brochure I made for the Poetry Cafe.
Students each received an animal award specific to them. Here are some of the awards.
The students were ready to share their poems that they worked so hard on with their families!
After they read their poems, students shared the rest of their poetry journals with their families.
Families enjoying the End of the Year Video that I made. I'm sorry I had technical difficulties but I am working on making copies for each student as an end of the year present for them and their families! I hope you enjoyed what you saw and love the rest of it just as much!
Important papers sent home this week:
Journey's Home Letter & Sight Words
Thanks for checking in this week to see what fun we had.
Stop back next week to see what we were up to for the LAST WEEK of school!
Have a great week!
Mrs. Brittany Garrabrant
