Classes will be able to earn trophies for PAX Leader behavior in Library/Computer Lab, the Cafeteria, Music, Restrooms, P.E. & Art.
We worked hard to learn the letter T.
We learned about the election process and what would happen on and after election day. We did not talk about which candidates we "liked" or "didn't like", we simply learned about the process.
Students got to do our own election on which Oreo flavor they liked best and would get seconds on. They tried chocolate and golden Oreos and then voted on which one they liked best!
Chocolate won!
We also listened to the story "Duck for President" and the students voted on who they would want to be president, Duck or Farmer Brown. It was close but duck won!
The students even got voting stickers!
We also worked hard in our math workbooks on counting.
As well as in our Journey's Notebook on literacy skills.
After we did our color mixing experiment to make orange on our plates, we then made a face and turned it into a pumpkin!
We talked about how PAX leaders act at school and made a class promise. We all signed it to promise to follow these behaviors.
We love playing outside and the students have enjoyed watching the construction of our new school behind our playground!
We worked on a fall book called "Falling Leaves". Students had to count out the correct number of leaves and glue them on each page of their book.
We also made this Apples & Pumpkins ABC book where students had to match the lowercase letters to the correct uppercase letter.
In Literacy Lab, students worked hard to make their color books and on iReady lessons.
Our focus wall for the week.
Our sight words for the week.
Students also worked hard to make a cover for their portfolios.
Thanks for checking in. Come back next time to see what we are up to next!
