Reptile/Amphibian Open House & Presentations

Thank you to everyone who came to our open house! It is always awesome to see how many parents come out to support their child's work and the children get so excited about it! Take a look at their finished habitats and projects below. Everything turned out so great and they did a great job on their presentations! Thank you to Mrs. Pinto for helping us create and paint our animals, she was a great help!
Here is the lizards group's habitats, a forest and a desert.
The lizard group's table with their habitats, flip book, and their non-fiction books that they wrote. I forgot to get a picture of their flip book so the picture on the right is a picture during our presentations. The labels say; reptiles, habitat, prey, fact, predators & where they live.
The turtle group's table with their habitat, lyrics to their song, and their non-fiction books that they wrote. The song was a hit during the presentation and other classes started singing along to our chorus!
The amphibian group's table with their habitat, book, and their non-fiction books that they wrote. I forgot to get a picture of their book but you can see it on the top of the table shaped like a frog on a lily pad.
The crocodilian group's table with their habitat, book of poems, and their non-fiction books that they wrote.
Check out the pictures of the parents who came to our open house. Everyone enjoyed looking at the students hard work! I know the kids were excited to share as well.
Our presentations went very well! I was really proud of the kids and how their speaking & listening skills have improved over the course of the school year! We presented to 9 different classes and they all told us that they learned a lot of new information from our presentations!
The crocodilian group presenting their book of poems.
The amphibian group presenting their book.
The lizard group presenting their flip book with a chant at the end. The chant went "L-I-Z-A-R-D-S, Lizards!"
The turtle group presenting their song while holding a picture of their specific turtle.
After every group presented, the other classes walked around, observed the students work, and asked our students to read their non-fiction books to them and questions they might have about their animals.
Thank you again to everyone for your support! Check out the upcoming events page for updated dates for the rest of the school year! Hopefully this will allow you to mark these last few important dates in your calendar so you are able to attend!

Have a great week!
Mrs. Brittany Garrabrant
