A Week Full of Learning!

We had a full week of fun learning! The students have been working hard and are learning so much!

Here is our Focus Wall for the week:
We practiced the letter Dd and its sound.
We worked hard on practicing our addition as well!
This week we read a story about pretending like we are going on journeys during a rainy day. During our Writer's Workshop, students made up a story pretending to travel somewhere such as space, the jungle, etc. We also read another story about sheep that get lost and students wrote about a time that they got lost.
Mrs. Phillip did a lesson with the class on feelings and students documented in their workbooks how they were feeling that day.

As always, we worked hard in Literacy Lab as well! Students worked hard on their iReady lessons.
Students also worked hard on independent work practicing letters and sight words.
Mrs. Ball worked with students on letter identification, letter sounds, and rhyming.
Students worked with me on CVC puzzles and blend sorts for th and sh.
We also worked in our Reader's Notebook, read books, and completed sight words papers in order to practice our sight words.
Of course we played our sight word spinner game too! The word 'up' won!
We have still been continuing to read our chapter book 101 Dalmatians together and we are almost done. We are going to try to finish it this week!
I sent home our virtual work packet for Friday.
The class did so great on their iReady lessons this week. I gave them a goal to pass 45 lessons and they passed 49! Since they passed our goal, they all got to choose a treasure from the treasure box!
I forgot to post this picture last week but our friend Lilly won a prize because her name was chosen out of all the tootles last week! We were so excited and proud of her!
The kids loved being able to play outside this week!
Here are some important papers sent home this week:
Picture day flyer and order form. Picture day is Wednesday, March 3rd!
Yearbook order form- they extended the deadline for yearbook orders and the new deadline will be late April. You will receive an updated flyer with more information soon!
Also, since their production is slow, the yearbooks will not be delivered until August 2021. You will be able to pick them up at the ECC whenever they arrive.
Thanks for checking in. Stop back next week to see what we are up to next!
Have a great week!
