Workstations and More!

We had a fun and busy week full of learning.
Take a look below to see what fun things we were up to this week!

Our focus wall for the week!
Our "Journey's" lessons this week focused on our sight words 'are' and 'now', the letter Bb and its sound, and sounding out words and filling in the missing letters.
We worked hard on our math lessons this week and used different ways to sort such as by shape, size, color, etc.
We worked very hard this week to practice our sight words 'are' and 'now'.
We also talked about different animal homes. For our Writer's Workshop, students wrote about their homes and who live with them. They have been trying very hard to be a 3-star colorer, add labels, and write a sentence at the bottom of their drawing.
We worked hard in Literacy Lab this week too! Students worked hard on their iReady lessons.
They also worked on sorting pictures by letter sounds.
We started new fun workstations this week as well. Take a look at the fun things we are working on!

Students used unifex cubes to make letters. They also looked at our word family snowmen and found words that rhymed.
They made creative stories.
They also sounded out CVC words and matched the picture with the letters.
Students also tried to make their own CVC words.
They put together a number and addition puzzle.
They also used shapes to make a picture.
Students counted the chocolate chips and matched them to the correct numbers,
They also used wiki stix to make different numbers.
Students put together number puzzles and explored weighing various objects.
This week we also read the story The Mitten. Students made their own mitten bag and we practiced retelling the story.
In art class this week students made these beautiful marbled prints!
Our class won the art trophy this week, they were so excited!
Thanks for stopping by. Check back next week to see what we are up to next!
Have a great week!
