Penguin Open House

We had quite a few families come to our open house to check out what we have been working on during our penguin study! It was awesome to see so many families supporting our hard work. The kids loved sharing their work with their parents, siblings, and families! They read their stories, shared their groups presentation project and habitat & shared the other penguin groups work as well. Check out the pictures below!
The Emperor Penguin group including a Skua- a penguin predator. This group chose to make a big book.
The Little Penguin group including squid and krill- penguin prey. This group chose to make a poster.
The Chinstrap Penguin group including squid and krill- penguin prey. This group chose to make a brochure.
The Galapagos Penguin group including fish and a Killer Whale- penguin prey & predator. This group chose to make a big book.
The Macaroni Penguin group including a Leopard Seal- penguin predator. This group chose to make a poster.
We added some illustrations with facts onto our bulletin board to make it complete and ready for the open house!
On the left: "Penguins like to preen by cleaning their feathers." On the right: "The emperor penguin only lays one egg."
On the left: "Penguins have spikes on their tongues." On the right: "Chinstrap penguins have chinstraps close to their bills."
Picture on the left: "The little penguin is small." Picture on the right: top left; "Penguins grow new feathers." top right; "The Emperor penguin is the tallest." bottom left; "Little Penguins are blue." bottom right; "Penguins have spikes on their tongues."
Thanks to everyone who was able to come to our Open House to support our hard work. We hope you enjoyed it and we will see you all at our next open house!
Have a great week!
