Reptile Visit

On Tuesday we had some visitors come and bring reptiles to share with ours and Mrs. Atkin's class. Carrie works with Dr. Josh and we were very grateful for her and her husband to share their reptile pets with us! They brought a Sulcatta Tortoise, Leopard Gecko & a Bearded Dragon. They told us a little about each animal and the students got to ask any questions they had about the animals. We also go to touch them, don't worry we used hand sanitizer after to keep our hands clean! The students enjoyed feeling the rough skin of the bearded dragon, the soft skin of the gecko & the hard shell of the tortoise. Take a look at the pictures below to see the students enjoying this experience.
Watching the tortoise go back in his shell because he sees a shadow and it scares him.
The students enjoyed this visit so much that we have decided that our next study is going to be REPTILES! They are very curious and want to learn more about what other animals are reptiles as well! We are excited to see where our next study takes us!
Have a great week.
Mrs. Brittany Garrabrant
