M-I Countdown, Spring Scavenger Hunt, & More!

We had another busy week here in Kindergarten! We continued our alphabet end of the year countdown with M-I. Monday we enjoyed a movie. Thank you to everyone who sent in movies for us to vote on. The students decided to watch Ratatouille.
For L day, we wrote letters to their first grade teachers. We brainstormed some of the things they wanted to say and I wrote them on the board.
For K day, we enjoyed some Karaoke! The students had so much fun and enjoyed singing their favorite songs from Kidz Bop.
We celebrated J day by graphing and eating jelly beans. The students each got a bag of jelly beans to count and graph how many of each color they had. Then they got to enjoy their jelly beans!
On Friday, we celebrated I day by enjoying ice pops!
We also worked on decorating our bulletin board in order to make it look beautiful for our Poetry Cafe next week. The students traced their hands, cut them out, and decorated them. I will post more details and pictures about our bulletin board on next week's blog!
When Mrs. Boxley came to help out this week, she worked with the students on making their handprints on a poem for their portfolios.
We practiced reading 2 books this week and we shared them with our preschool reading buddies.
We also made them goodbye cards since it was their last day of school.
We also got a new balance beam for our playground and it was installed on Thursday. The students were so excited to use it and they really enjoyed it!
Thank you to everyone who was able to come to our family scavenger hunt today! It was a much nicer day than yesterday.
Thanks for checking in. I hope to see you all on Friday at 2:00pm for our Poetry Cafe! We are so excited to share our poems and memories from the school year with you all.

Have a great week!
Mrs. Brittany Garrabrant
