Animal Habitats & More!

Due to QPT Day and the weather, the students had a very short week this week! They still worked hard though. We read books and wrote about animal habitats, worked in our Reader's Notebooks, focused on the letter B sound, and worked hard in Literacy Lab.
Take a look below for more details on our week!

We read stories about different animal habitats and students chose to write about one of them.
Maddie wrote  "The snake is in the water".
Our Journey's focus wall for the week.
Students worked hard in their Reader's Notebooks as well. First we worked on our sight words.
Then we worked on the letter B sound.
We also sounded out words to match the pictures.
As always, we worked hard in Literacy Lab too! Students reviewed the letter N.
 Picture sort by beginning sound.
Reviewed our sight word 'you'.
Students worked with Mrs. Ball on reviewing letters/letter sounds and basic guided reading.
Students worked with me on guided reading books and answering comprehension questions about what we read.
Important papers sent home this week:
February Homework
February Reading Log
Journey's Weekly Home Letter
Thanks for checking in. Next week, we will catch up on what we didn't finish this week.
Check back next week to see what we are up to next.

Have a great week!
Mrs. Brittany Garrabrant
